Strategically located in Richmond, our Nelson team provides a full range of transport, warehousing, and logistics services, connecting local businesses with markets nationwide.

We service Port Nelson, Nelson City, Stoke, Annesbrook, Richmond, Brightwater, and Wakefield daily, with additional runs to Murchison (by arrangement) and Takaka, serviced daily via our subcontractor or directly on Wednesdays.

Our experienced Nelson team offers dependable pick-up and delivery (metro) services, as well as Hiab lifting and warehousing solutions, ensuring seamless movement of freight across the region. Simon Townsend
Business Development Representative - Upper South Island

Simon brings 30 years of sales experience to the transport industry, drawn in by its fast-paced nature and the fact that no two days are ever the same. He thrives on quick thinking, active listening, and the challenge of turning any conversation into an opportunity. After following Booth’s growth for some time, Simon knew he wanted to return to general freight. What stood out most was Booth’s strong team culture, commitment to upskilling staff, and its supportive leadership team. Hearing positive feedback from current employees made the decision easy.

For those new to the industry, Simon believes the key is to be yourself, stay honest, remain driven, and be prepared to put in the hours, because hard work truly pays off. He encourages newcomers to ask questions and stay curious, as there’s always something new to learn each day.

What Simon enjoys most about transport is the pace, the constant change, and the opportunity to meet new people.
