With a dedicated team and a diverse fleet, Booth’s Christchurch is a true centre for operations and capability development. Our capabilities include curtainside (LCL & FTL), HIAB, and container transport, with full devanning facilities on site. We are both ATF and RCS approved, giving customers confidence their freight is handled to the highest standards.

Adrian Paku
Branch Manager - Christchurch

Adrian’s Booth’s journey began around four years ago in Palmerston North as a Safety & Wellbeing Coordinator. From there, he’s worn a few different hats; South Island Safety Manager, then Training Manager, before stepping into his latest role as Christchurch Branch Manager.

Coming from a background in local government and Air New Zealand, Adrian had never worked in the transport industry before joining Booth’s. So what’s made the transport industry one he wants to stay in? “The people. It’s a bunch of people coming together to achieve a common outcome – whether for our customers, their customers, or each other. We all work towards the same goal, and seeing it come together is the best.”

For Adrian, the most satisfying part of his job is solving the tricky ones. When a customer brings a complex challenge, he loves when the Christchurch team comes together to make it happen. “When we pull it off, it’s great!”

His advice for anyone looking to get into the industry or move up? “Jump in head first. There’s a place for everyone. And if you want to move up, work on your leadership skills and don’t be afraid to challenge the status quo.”

Outside of work, Adrian is a big league fan and loves spending time with his whānau, even if his three kids are more likely to wind him up than let him unwind!

Sharon Swift
Regional Sales Manager - South Island

Sharon joined Booth’s Logistics almost four years ago and now looks after our customers across the South Island. With previous industry experience as a Business Development Representative, she brings 10 years of transport industry expertise and over 20 years of leadership in Countdown supermarkets and major retail chains.

This background has given Sharon a deep understanding of what customers need from a reliable freight partner and the importance of communication, consistency, and trust.

Passionate about building long-term partnerships, Sharon works closely with both existing and new customers, identifying opportunities to support growth and deliver tailored logistics solutions. She brings a strong commercial mindset and a wealth of business experience to Booth’s, helping ensure our customers receive the “Can Do. Will Do.” service we’re known for.

Simon Townsend
Business Development Representative - Upper South Island

Simon brings 30 years of sales experience to the transport industry, drawn in by its fast-paced nature and the fact that no two days are ever the same. He thrives on quick thinking, active listening, and the challenge of turning any conversation into an opportunity. After following Booth’s growth for some time, Simon knew he wanted to return to general freight. What stood out most was Booth’s strong team culture, commitment to upskilling staff, and its supportive leadership team. Hearing positive feedback from current employees made the decision easy.

For those new to the industry, Simon believes the key is to be yourself, stay honest, remain driven, and be prepared to put in the hours, because hard work truly pays off. He encourages newcomers to ask questions and stay curious, as there’s always something new to learn each day.

What Simon enjoys most about transport is the pace, the constant change, and the opportunity to meet new people. At Booth’s, it’s the people that make the difference, they’re welcoming, supportive, and committed to ensuring everyone feels valued. Outside of work, Simon prioritises family time and enjoys sports, fitness, and reading to unwind after a busy week.

John Marshall
Business Development Manager - Warehousing

We are pleased to introduce John Marshall as our Warehousing Business Development Manager. John brings a wealth of experience and knowledge of the logistics sector to the Booth’s sales team.

He has specialised in business development in domestic and international forwarding and supply chain for three decades and seen many changes in the competitive landscape over this period.

John is thrilled to work at Booth’s as the ‘up and coming’ domestic forwarder and logistics service provider in the market. He says “it is great to be part of the history that Booth’s are creating in the industry.
